I'm going back...back.. to F-L

Hello Blog Readers :)

I apologize for my obvious lack of posting this week, which is in part due to the fact that I am done with work and no longer sit at the computer for 8 hours a day, and also can be blamed on my summer move back to Florida. Though my life has actually been a lot less random (and a lot more work out, relax, work out), these are the highlights of the past few days:

1. During my pre-op appointment for my shoulder surgery, I had a meeting with a man who tried to convince me to do a clinical research study on pain. It is very hard when you do research to say no to someone else doing research, especially when you know how hard it is to recruit, but I definitely did not want to have my pain threshold tested with cold, heat, and pressure....This experiment truly sounded like torture. While I think this study has a lot of merit (I mean everyone does experience pain differently, so what is a 1 on a pain scale to me could be a 10 to someone else), I am lucky I had the out of..."umm I am moving to medical school and can't do the follow up in 3 or 6 months", and did not just feel like I was failing to help advance science.

2. My dog got a hair cut (more like a full body shave) and he looks pretty funny.

It is times like these I remember he only weighs 5 pounds (and has little tiny chickeny legs). He is not a fan of his hair cut, and I think if he were human he would be crying like the girls on top model do on makeover day (NOT MY RED HAIR). But, since he is a dog, he resorts to shaking, rolling on the ground, and rubbing up against anything and everything. Oh skinny puppy, how crazily entertaining you are.
